Our time lapse photography project is centered on one part of the field where the walnuts and alley crops are being established. The idea is to document, over several seasons, the gradual transformation of at least one portion of the field from pasture to agroforestry project. We are collecting photos every day with a camera permanently mounted just under the peak of the barn. The photos will be stitched together into a short video some time in the future. For now the little trees and chicken tractors zooming around them are all the action we can see. The odd Jedi doing jumping jacks or the roaming sheep appear in some frames. The upcoming winter tractor work on preparing the alley crop rows will capture some more dramatic changes.
I am inspired by this series of time lapse videos set to music by the talented photographer Andrew Zuckerman. It is amazing and well worth watching. Check it out: FLOWER
